Antenna installation 1579.03
Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery. Drill a hole with a diameter of 14 in the left wing of the car+0,18 mm at a distance of 322 mm from the vertical plane passing through the axis of the front wheel and 82 mm from the outer surface of the wing (pic. 157). Cover the edges of the hole with an anti-corrosion compound or enamel.

Remove nut 2, leveling head 3 and gasket 4 from the antenna. Spring washer 5 remains on the antenna, as it should be under the wing. Sleeve 8 is put on the lower end of the antenna housing. From the inside of the wing, insert the upper end of the antenna into the drilled hole, first passing it through the hole in the bracket on the mudguard of the left wheel.
Install gasket 4, leveling head 3 and fix the antenna with a nut. Having moved the bushing 8 up along the antenna body, insert it into the hole in the mudguard bracket.
The plug is removed from the mudguard of the left wheel, the seal 7 is put on the antenna cable and the antenna cable is routed into the vehicle interior. Lubricate the seal 7 and the edges of the hole in the mudguard with mastic type 51G7 and insert the seal into the hole of the mudguard. Route the antenna cable along the instrument panel wiring harness and attach to it with clamps.
The antenna is removed in the reverse order.
Speaker installation
Remove the loudspeaker trims on the rear upholstery, install and secure the loudspeakers with self-tapping screws, and then install the trims in place. Remove the left floor sill lining, the lower upholstery of the rear pillars, the lining of the left front seat belt and unscrew the bolt securing the belt to the floor of the body.
Bend the left edges of the floor mats and trunk. Route wires from the radio receiver to the loudspeakers along the instrument panel wiring harness and the rear wiring harness along the body floor. Fasten the wires to the floor of the body every 500 mm with adhesive tape. Connect the wires to the speakers.
Removing the loudspeakers is done in the reverse order.
Installing the radio
Remove the box for small items from the instrument panel console and install the radio receiver in the vacant socket, proceeding as described in the instructions for the radio receiver. The radio power wire is wound to the instrument panel harness with adhesive tape and connected to the terminal «INT» ignition switch. The body wire is attached to the body with the heater mounting nut.
