Coolant temperature gauge
The device operates in conjunction with a sensor installed in the cylinder head. With a sensor resistance of 640-1320 ohms, the arrow should be at the beginning of the scale, with a resistance of 77-89 ohms - at the beginning of the red section, and with a sensor resistance of 40-50 ohms - deviate to the end of the red section of the scale. The data for checking the temperature gauge sensor are given in Table. 28.
Table 28
Temperature,°C | Voltage supplied to the coolant temperature sensor, V | Sensor resistance, Ohm |
30 | 8,00 | 1350—1880 |
50 | 7,60 | 585—820 |
70 | 6,85 | 280—390 |
90 | 5,80 | 155—196 |
110 | 4,70 | 87—109 |
Fuel gauge. The device works in tandem with a sensor installed in the fuel tank. With a sensor resistance of 285-335 ohms, the arrow should be at the beginning of the scale, with a resistance of 100-135 ohms in the middle, and with a sensor resistance of 7-25 ohms, it should deviate at the end of the scale. The resistance of the sensor with an empty tank should be 315-345 ohms, with a half-filled tank, 108-128 ohms, and with a full tank - no more than 7 ohms.
Voltmeter
The voltmeter is checked by comparing its readings with a control device of an accuracy class of at least 1.0. The error of the voltmeter readings at 12 V should not exceed +0.7 -0.1 V at a temperature (20±5) °C. Before checking, the voltmeter must be kept at a voltage of 12 V for 2 minutes.
Econometer
To check the econometer below the scale divisions, there are two control points corresponding to a vacuum of 0 and 0.3 kgf / cm2. Permissible deviation of econometer readings at control points±0.032 kgf/cm2.
Speedometer
The device is checked by comparing its readings with a reference speedometer. The calibration data of the speedometer are as follows: at a drive shaft speed of 500 rpm, the speedometer readings should correspond to 31-35 km / h, at 1000 - 62-66.5, at 1500 - 93-98, at 2000 - 124-130, at 2500 rpm - 155-161.5 km / h.
Oil pressure warning light sensor
The sensor is mounted on the engine cylinder head. Sensor contacts should open and close at a pressure of 0.2-0.6 kgf/cm2.
Relay-interrupter of a control lamp of a parking brake
The relay-breaker is installed on the rear side of the instrument cluster and serves to produce intermittent lighting of the parking brake warning lamp. The number of cycles per minute of turning on and off the relay-breaker RS492 at a voltage of 10.8 to 15 V and a temperature of -40 to +40°C should be in the range of 60-120. The resistance of the breaker winding is 26 ohms.
