Coolant temperature gauge
The device operates together with the sensor installed in the cylinder head. With a sensor resistance of 640-1320 Ohm, the pointer should be at the beginning of the scale, with a resistance of 77-89 Ohm - at the beginning of the red section, and with a sensor resistance of 40-50 Ohm - deflect to the end of the red section of the scale. Data for checking the temperature gauge sensor are given in Table 28.
Table 28
| Temperature,°C | Voltage supplied to the coolant temperature sensor, V | Sensor resistance, Ohm |
| 30 | 8,00 | 1350—1880 |
| 50 | 7,60 | 585—820 |
| 70 | 6,85 | 280—390 |
| 90 | 5,80 | 155—196 |
| 110 | 4,70 | 87—109 |
Fuel level indicator. The device works in tandem with a sensor installed in the fuel tank. When the sensor resistance is 285-335 Ohm, the arrow should be at the beginning of the scale, when the resistance is 100-135 Ohm in the middle, and when the resistance is 7-25 Ohm, it should deflect at the end of the scale. The sensor resistance with an empty tank should be 315-345 Ohm, with a half-filled tank, 108-128 Ohm, and with a full tank - no more than 7 Ohm.
Voltmeter
The voltmeter is checked by comparing its readings with a control device of accuracy class no lower than 1.0. The error in voltmeter readings at the 12 V mark should not exceed +0.7 -0.1 V at a temperature of (20±5)°C. Before checking, the voltmeter must be kept at a voltage of 12 V for 2 minutes.
Econometer
To check the economizer, there are two control points below the scale divisions, corresponding to a vacuum of 0 and 0.3 kgf/cm². The permissible deviation of the economizer readings at the control points is ±0.032 kgf/cm².
Speedometer
The device is checked by comparing its readings with a standard speedometer. The speedometer calibration data are as follows: at a drive shaft rotation speed of 500 rpm, the speedometer readings should correspond to 31-35 km/h, at 1000 - 62-66.5, at 1500 - 93-98, at 2000 - 124-130, at 2500 rpm - 155-161.5 km/h.
Oil Pressure Warning Light Sensor
The sensor is installed on the engine cylinder head. The sensor contacts should open and close at a pressure of 0.2-0.6 kgf/cm².
Parking brake indicator lamp relay-interrupter
The flasher relay is installed on the rear side of the instrument cluster and serves to obtain intermittent lighting of the parking brake indicator lamp. The number of cycles per minute of switching on and off the flasher relay PC492 at a voltage of 10.8 to 15 V and a temperature of -40 to +40°C should be within 60-120. The resistance of the flasher winding is 26 Ohm.
