Note. The steering wheel fits very tightly on the shaft splines, so do not unscrew the wheel mounting nut immediately: if there is a sharp impact, the steering wheel may jump off the splines and cause injury. For ease of installation, mark the position of the steering wheel relative to the shaft.

1. Remove the steering wheel trim.

2. Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut until its end is flush with the end of the steering shaft.

3. Use sharp blows of your hand to knock the steering wheel off the splines of the steering shaft.

6. Install the steering wheel in the reverse order of removal, in accordance with the previously made markings. Tighten the wheel mounting nut to a torque of 32-51 N·m (3.2-5.1 kgf·m).

4. Completely unscrew the steering wheel mounting nut.
