Checking the level and adding coolant (VAZ-21099)

The expansion tank is installed on the left side of the engine compartment next to the battery.

You will need:

• coolant (Tosol-A40)
• clean rag

Before we begin

Place the vehicle on a level surface.

Caution! Check the coolant level only when the engine is cold.

Warning: Coolant is toxic, so take precautions when handling it.

Attention! Do not pour liquid into the tank above the "MAX" mark, as its volume will increase when the engine is running.

1. The fluid level in the reservoir should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. If the level is approaching the "MIN" mark or is below, add fluid.



2. Unscrew the tank cap.





3. Add coolant up to the "MAX" mark. Screw the tank cap back on and wipe away any spilled liquid.
