Note: To replace the interior light switch, you do not need to disconnect the battery, since when the switch wire is shorted to ground, only the interior light will light.
Removal
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw that secures the switch to the door post.

2. Remove the interior light switch from the hole in the door pillar and disconnect the wire tip from the switch terminal.

The limit switch located in the door pillar often stops closing the circuit to ground due to corrosion that occurs between the screw that mounts the switch and the walls of the hole into which the screw is screwed.
Replace the faulty interior light switch.
Installation
We install the switch on the car in the reverse order.
