Removal
1. Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the two wires from the switch terminals.
3. Using a 19 mm open-end wrench, loosen the plastic lock nut of the brake light switch.
4. Using your hand, unscrew the switch from the brake pedal bracket.
5. Replace the brake light switch.
Installation
We install the brake light switch on the car in the reverse order.
After installing the switch, before connecting the wire connectors, adjust the position of the brake pedal.
Warning: After connecting the wires, make sure that the brake lights come on when the brake pedal is pressed lightly. If not, check the wire connections to the switch terminals or repeat the adjustment.
