Check the coolant level in expansion tank 1 (Fig. 43) only on a cold engine. The fluid level should be at mark A (upper edge of the recess for the fastening strap). During operation, the liquid level in the expansion tank may decrease. Top up the coolant through the hole closed by plug 2. After topping up the liquid, the plug must be tightly screwed in, since the expansion tank is under pressure when the engine is running and warmed up.
Warning! To avoid burns, do not open the expansion tank cap when the coolant is hot.
