Power steering system (VAZ-2110)

To ensure normal operation of the hydraulic power steering (installed in a variant design) it is necessary to regularly check the level of the working fluid in the reservoir 2 (Fig. 45) of the hydraulic booster. The fluid level with a cold hydraulic pump and a non-running engine should be between the two marks on the indicator in the cover 1 of the reservoir. A drop in the fluid level indicates a depressurization of the system and requires mandatory inspection and elimination of leaks in places of loose connections, which must be performed at the manufacturer's PSSS, performing warranty repairs and technical maintenance of cars in the territory of the Russian Federation under an agreement with the manufacturer (Appendix No.1 to the warranty card).



At extreme steering wheel positions, noise may occur due to the operation of the bypass valve. This is not a malfunction. When the steering wheel returns to the middle position, the bypass valve switches off and the noise disappears.

Warning! The power steering system is filled with Pentosin Hydraulik Fluid CHF 11S-TL VW52137.

When servicing and repairing the system, it is prohibited to use other liquids or mix them with the specified liquid.

Troubleshooting and topping up of working fluid must be performed only at the PSSS, the addresses of which are indicated in Appendix No.1 to the warranty card.
