Tip: You can check the operation of the fuel pressure regulator without removing it from the vehicle (see "Power supply system - technical condition check"). If you suspect that the pressure regulator is faulty, it must be replaced.
Removal
1. Remove the fuel module (see "Fuel module engine 11183 (1.6i) - removal and installation").
2. Lift the fuel module cover and disconnect the wire tip from the fuel pressure regulator (see below, "Fuel module engine 11183 (1.6i) - cleaning the mesh filter").
3. Using a slotted screwdriver, pry up and remove the spring retainer of the pressure regulator.
4. Remove the regulator from the fuel module cover.
Installation
We install a new fuel pressure regulator in the reverse order, having first applied a thin layer of engine oil to the sealing rings.
