Removal
1. Relieve the pressure in the fuel line (see "Fuel line - pressure relief").
Warning! The fuel line pressure must be released even if the vehicle has not been used for a long time. After the pressure has been released, a small amount of fuel remains in the fuel line tubes.
2. Remove accumulated dust from the fuel module.
3. Apply penetrating lubricant to the studs and nuts.
4. Pressing the spring clip, disconnect the tip of the fuel line tube from the outlet (pumping) fuel module pipe.
5. Similarly, disconnect the tip of the two fuel pipes from the inlet pipe of the fuel module.
6. With a socket wrench by 10 mm unscrew the eight nuts securing the fuel module clamping ring. There are spring washers installed under the nuts.
7. Remove the fuel module pressure ring.
8. A spacer ring and a rubber sealing gasket are installed underneath it. Replace the damaged sealing gasket.
9. Remove the fuel module from the tank.
Warning! When removing the fuel module, do not bend the fuel level indicator sensor lever. To do this, slightly tilt the module and carefully remove the float from the tank hole.
The connection between the fuel module and the tank is sealed with a rubber gasket.
10. Pour gasoline from the fuel module intake chamber into a container with a capacity of about 1 liter.
Installation
We install the fuel module in the reverse order.
Warning: When installing the module into the tank, make sure that the protrusion on its cover matches the cutout in the spacer ring.
The fuel line tee must be connected to the outlet pipe of the fuel module.
After connecting the fuel line tubes to the fuel module, turn on the ignition for 5 seconds and check the tightness of the connections. If necessary, tighten the fuel line tube tips onto the fuel module pipes more tightly.
If fuel leaks, replace the sealing rings in leaky connections.
