Possible faults of the clutch and its drive, their causes and methods of elimination.

Incomplete disengagement of the clutch (clutch "leads")

Insufficient clutch pedal travel - Adjust the clutch drive.

Warping of the driven disk (end runout more than 0.5 mm) — Straighten or replace the disk.

The driven disk hub is jammed on the splines of the primary shaft - Clean the splines, apply LSC-15 or SHRUS-4 grease to them. If the splines are worn out, replace the primary shaft or driven disk.

The pressure plate is warped or warped - Replace the clutch housing assembly with the pressure plate and spring.

Loose rivets or broken friction linings of the driven disk - Replace the linings, check the end runout of the disk.

Clutch cable malfunction - Replace the cable.

Incomplete clutch engagement (clutch "slips")

Increased wear or burning of the friction linings of the driven disk - Replace the friction linings or the driven disk.

Oiling of the friction linings of the driven disk, flywheel surfaces and pressure plate - Thoroughly wash the oiled surfaces with white spirit, replace worn or damaged gearbox and engine seals.

Damage or sticking of the clutch drive - Eliminate the causes of sticking. Replace damaged parts.

Jerks when engaging the clutch

Oiling of the friction linings of the driven disk, flywheel surfaces and pressure plate - Thoroughly wash the oiled surfaces with white spirit, replace worn or damaged gearbox and engine seals.



Clutch drive sticking - Eliminate the causes of sticking. Replace damaged parts.

Damage to the surface or warping of the pressure plate - Replace the clutch housing assembly with the pressure plate.

Increased noise when engaging the clutch

Broken springs of the driven disk damper - replace the driven disk assembly.

Increased noise when disengaging the clutch

Wear, damage, grease leakage from the clutch release bearing - replace the bearing.
