Removal and installation the clutch and its drive (VAZ-1111)

To remove the clutch drive, disconnect the upper end 14 (see figure 74) of the cable from the clutch pedal, having removed the locking bracket 15. Disconnect the retainer 11 from the leash 8 and the lower end 7 of the cable from the clutch release fork. Remove and move aside the protective cap 5 and unscrew the nut 4, move it together with the thrust washer 2 and the bushing 3 from the end 1. Move the end 1 of the sheath in the axial direction and remove the cable 6 from the socket of the lug of the gearbox cover.

Move the retainer 11 away from the leash 8 and the lower end 7 away from the clutch release fork 12. Carefully disconnect the cable sheath retaining bracket from the body mudguard. Unscrew the nuts securing the upper end 19 of the sheath and remove the cable assembly from the body front shield, leaving the seal 13 of the cable sheath on the fastening studs.

To remove the clutch pedal, disconnect the upper end 14 of the cable by removing the locking bracket 15. Then remove the spring 16, the locking bracket of the pedal axle and take the axle out of the bracket together with the clutch pedal. Remove the clutch pedal from the axle.

To remove the clutch from the engine flywheel, first remove the gearbox (see section. "Transmission"). Unscrew the clutch housing mounting bolts and remove it together with the pressure plate. This releases the driven disk. If necessary, remove the fork 6 (see figure 73) disengaging the clutch, for which purpose the coupling 3 is removed together with the clutch release bearing, the protective cover 7 is removed from the crankcase and, having overcome the force of the locking spring, the fork 6 is removed from the ball joint 5.
