Check the density of the coolant with a special hydrometer for antifreeze.
1. Wash the car and wipe the body dry. Remove corrosion. Touch up areas with damaged paint.
2. Clean the drainage holes in the car body.
3. Check:
- setting the ignition moment;
- operation of the carburetor air damper drive;
- the operation of the thermostat of the engine cooling system;
- the density of the coolant in the engine cooling system. Change the fluid if necessary;
- the density of the electrolyte in the battery. Recharge the battery if necessary;
- work of cleaners and washers of a windshield and glass of a back door;
- heater operation;
- operation of the rear door glass heater;
- condition of car tires, replace summer tires with winter or all-season ones.
4. Replace summer oil in the engine lubrication system with winter or all-weather oil.
5. If the spark plugs have spent most of their life (over 15 thousand km), replace them with new ones. Removed candles can be used in the summer.
6. Fill the windshield washer reservoir with a special antifreeze fluid.
7. Wash and blow out the strainers of the fuel pump and carburetor.
8. Drain sediment from fuel tank (first remove the tank).
9. Clean the tips and wires of the ignition system from dust and dirt.
10. In severe frosts, to ensure normal engine temperature, install a special insulating cover on the radiator lining.
11. Lubricate door locks (side and back), door and hood hinges.
12. Eliminate the identified faults.
