Check the density of the coolant with a special hydrometer for antifreeze.
1. Wash the car and wipe the body dry. Remove corrosion. Touch up damaged paint.
2. Clean the drainage holes of the car body.
3. Check:
- setting the ignition timing;
- operation of the carburetor air damper drive;
- operation of the thermostat of the engine cooling system;
- density of the coolant in the engine cooling system. Replace the fluid if necessary;
- density of the electrolyte in the battery. Recharge the battery if necessary;
- operation of windshield and rear door glass wipers and washers;
- operation of the heater;
- operation of the rear door glass heater;
- condition of the car tires, replace summer tires with winter or all-season tires.
4. Replace summer oil in the engine lubrication system with winter or all-season oil.
5. If the spark plugs have worked most of their service life (more than 15 thousand km), replace them with new ones. The removed candles can be used in the summer.
6. Fill the windshield washer reservoir with a special antifreeze liquid.
7. Wash and blow out the mesh filters of the fuel pump and carburetor.
8. Drain the sediment from the fuel tank (remove the tank first).
9. Clean the ignition system tips and wires from dust and dirt.

10. In severe frosts, to ensure normal engine temperature, install a special insulating cover on the radiator grille.
11. Lubricate the door locks (side and back), door and hood hinges.
