Removal the gearbox (VAZ-21011)

1. Drain the oil from the bridge beam.

2. Raise the rear of the car, place it on stands and remove the wheels.

3. Loosen the nuts securing the brake shield to the beam and slide the axle shafts out so that they exit the differential box.

4. Disconnect the cardan shaft from the gearbox, place a support under the gearbox housing, unscrew the bolts securing it to the rear axle beam and remove the gearbox from the beam without damaging the gasket.
