Removal
1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Drain the liquid from the cooling system (see "Coolant - Checking Level and Replacing").
3. Remove the generator drive belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Tension Adjustment and Replacement").
4. With a socket wrench by 17 mm we unscrew the nut securing the generator adjustment bar.

5. Using the same tool, unscrew the nut securing the generator to the adjusting bar (see "Generator - removal and installation") and remove the adjustment bar.
6. With a socket or open-end wrench by 13 mm loosen the three bolts securing the pump drive pulley, holding the pulley from turning with a large screwdriver.

7. Unscrew the bolts and remove the pulley.
8. With a socket wrench by 13 mm we unscrew the four nuts securing the pump cover.

9. To make it easier to remove the pump, tap its cover with a hammer with a plastic or rubber head.
10. Remove the pump from the studs.
11. There is a sealing gasket installed between the pump and its housing that needs to be replaced.
Installation
1. Install the removed parts in reverse order.
2. Adjust the tension of the generator belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Tension Adjustment and Replacement").
3. Fill the system with liquid (see "Coolant - Checking Level and Replacing").
