Rear window cleaner (VAZ-2105)

On some VAZ-2104 vehicles, a rear window wiper can be installed together with an electric pump, a reservoir and rear window washer tubes. The rear window wiper and washer connection diagram is shown in fig. 223. The wiper and washer are switched on by key switch 5. In the middle position of the switch key, only the wiper is switched on, and when the key is fully pressed, the washer is also switched on.

The electric drive has a reusable thermal bimetallic fuse for overload protection. The design of the electric drive allows its disassembly to eliminate minor faults (collector cleaning, etc.). The disassembly and assembly methods are similar to those described earlier for the windshield wiper drive.

With an electric drive load of 0.05 kgf·m, a supply voltage of 14 V and an ambient temperature of (25±10)°C, the number of double strokes of the electric drive shaft should be (50±5) per minute, and the consumed current should not exceed 2 A.
