Master cylinder
Remove the protective cap 17 (see fig. 111) from the cylinder piston, retaining ring 18 and unscrew the plug from the cylinder body. Then remove piston 8, sealing ring 7, piston 6, sealing ring 20 and piston return spring 23 from the cylinder. If it is necessary to replace fitting 4, remove lock washer 5 with a screwdriver, then fitting 4 and its sealing ring.
Slave cylinder
Remove the protective cap 12 (see fig. 112) together with the pusher 4, remove the piston and disassemble it, having first removed the retaining ring 18.

After disassembling the master and slave cylinders, wash their parts with brake fluid. The use of gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel or mineral oils is unacceptable, since these substances cause rubber seals to swell.
