Clutch release reservoir
Every 10,000 km mileage check the fluid level in the tank (pic. 41) and, if necessary, add it up to the lower edge of the filler neck. Add brake fluid «Dew» or «Tom».
After 5 years of operation, it is recommended to replace the brake fluid with a new one.
Clutch Release Drive Adjustment
Every 20,000 km, and on a new car after the first 2000-3000 km and 10,000 km, check and, if necessary, adjust the clutch release actuator.
For this:
- limiter 4 (pic. 42) ensure a gap of 0.1-0.5 mm between the pusher 3 and piston 2, which corresponds to the movement of the pedal by 0.4-2 mm;
- check the free travel of the pusher 6 of the working cylinder 10, the value of which should be 4-5 mm. The free play is regulated by the nut 8 with the lock nut 9 loosened. After adjusting the lock nut 9 tighten.
Pic. 42. Adjustment of the clutch release actuator:
1 - clutch master cylinder; 2 - piston; 3 - pusher; 4 - limiter; 5 - clutch pedal; 6 - pusher of the working cylinder; 7 - clutch release fork; 8 - nut; 9 - locknut; 10 - working cylinder.
After these adjustments have been made, the free play of the clutch pedal before the clutch is disengaged should be 25-35 mm.
Check the free play of the clutch pedal also after bleeding the hydraulic drive system to remove air from it. Indicates the presence of air in the system «softness» pedals and incomplete clutch disengagement («clutch leads»).
Pump the system through the fitting of the working cylinder 10 in the same way as the brake system.
Gearbox and rear axle
After the run first 2000-3000 km, as well as through every 60,000 km or 5 years (whichever comes first) change the oil in the gearbox and rear axle. Do this immediately after riding while the oil is warm. Drain the used oil through the holes closed with plugs 2 (pic. 43, 44). Pour fresh oil through the control holes closed with plugs 1 to the level of the lower edges of these holes.
Every 10,000 km run, check the oil level, which should reach the lower edges of the control holes. Check before the next trip to be sure that all the oil is glass from the walls of the crankcase and gears.
Front propeller shaft flange
Every 30,000 km mileage, lubricate the spline connection of flange 1 with grease FIOL-1 (pic. 45) front cardan shaft from the side of the flexible coupling 2 through the hole closed by the plug 3. Before lubrication, carefully clean the plug from dirt.
