After the first 2,000 km, and then every 15,000 km, check the oil level in the crankcase and top it up if necessary, check the operation of the gearbox for knocks and noise, check the tightness of the seals and the condition of the rubber protective cover of the gear shift rod.
Replace the oil in the gearbox housing every 75,000 km.
The oil level should be checked on a cooled gearbox to be sure that all the oil has drained from the walls of the crankcase and gears. To check the oil level, unscrew the control plug 2 (see figure 59). The oil level should be at the lower edge of the threaded hole. Add oil through the same hole. To drain the used oil, unscrew the plug, having previously warmed up the oil by running the car. Pour engine oil into the gearbox.
