- park the car on level ground and block the rear wheels with the parking brake;
- remove the spare wheel, jack and tool box from the trunk;
- use a combination wrench to loosen the bolts of the wheel to be replaced by one turn;
- insert the lifting support arm of the jack into the socket of the bracket located under the floor closest to the wheel to be changed (pic. 50). Checking the strength of the supporting soil (when lifting the car, the jack must not go deep), rotate the jack handle until the wheel is raised off the ground;
- unscrew the wheel mounting bolts, remove it and rearrange the decorative cap from the removed wheel to the installed one;
- install the spare wheel, tighten the mounting bolts and evenly tighten them crosswise;
- lower the car, remove the jack, tighten the bolts to a torque of 70 Nm (7 kgf·m) and check the tire pressure.
After finishing work, put the jack, the box with the tool and the wheel in the trunk, for which:
- support arm 4 (pic. 51) lay the jack along the rail and rest against the base 5 by turning the handle 1;
- place the jack on the brackets 3 and insert the handle 1 into the slot 2;
- check that the tool is placed correctly in the box 7 and secure it with an elastic strap 6;
- install the wheel in the niche of the trunk and secure the wheel with the jack with an elastic belt 8, throwing the belt hook over the edge of the central hole of the wheel;
- cover the jacked wheel and tool box with the cover, securing it with studs and a clasp.
