Disassembly and assembly of the heater (VAZ-2108)

Disconnect the brackets securing the tie rod housings 1, 7, 12, 19 (see figure 171) on the heater housings and remove the rods from the damper drive levers. Loosen the hose clamps 15 and 16 (see figure 170) heater radiator on tap 17 and heater radiator 13 and remove the hoses. Unscrew the three screws securing the heater radiator and remove it from the heater. Disconnect resistor 19 from the heater casing.

If the electric fan has not been previously removed from the heater, unscrew the two mounting screws and remove it as an assembly. Disconnect casings 10 and 18, having first removed the brackets 11 securing the casings. Disconnect support 21 from casing 18 and remove damper 9. Compress the antennae of the fastening element of damper 13 (see figure 171) heating of the feet, remove the lever 6 of the damper drive. Disconnect the heater insert and the damper 10 of the windshield heating.

The heater assembly is performed in the reverse order. Before assembly, inspect the heater casings, flaps and seals. If necessary, the flap seals and the windshield air duct seal are glued with 88NP-35 glue. When assembling, pay attention to the correct installation of the sealing gaskets and the reliability of tightening the hose clamps.
