Removal, disassembly, assembly and installation of the heater electric fan (VAZ-2108)

Before removing the electric fan assembly, disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Remove the mounting brackets and take out the water deflector shield 1 (see figure 172) and the seal. Disconnect the electrical wire under the instrument panel that goes to the electric motor and the wire secured under the left front nut that secures the heater 5 to the air intake box. Unscrew the two fastening screws and remove the electric fan assembly.

Separate the casings 3 (see figure 170) and 6 electric fans and remove the heater electric motor 4 assembled with the impeller 5, having first disconnected the mounting brackets.

The electric fan assembly and installation are performed in the reverse order. When assembling, it is necessary to pay attention to the correct installation of the electric fan casing seal. To avoid imbalance, do not remove the impeller from the electric motor shaft.
