Removal of the heater is carried out after removing the instrument panel (see sect. «Removal and installation of the instrument panel»). Move lever 18 (see fig. 171) heater control all the way to the right (heater valve open) and drain fluid from the engine cooling system. Unscrew the fastening screws and remove the lining of the floor tunnel, after which the air duct 6 is removed (see fig. 172) interior ventilation. Disconnect the electrical wires from the resistor 19 (see fig. 170) and a wire to the electric motor 4. From the side of the engine compartment, disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses of the heater valve, unscrew the two nuts securing the valve to the front shield and remove the valve pipe seal.
Unscrew the four nuts securing the heater to the air inlet box and remove the heater assembly with the control. When unscrewing the front left nut, remove the wire to the motor housing.
The heater is installed in the reverse order. After installing and connecting the hoses, fill the engine cooling system with liquid and check the tightness of the connections.
