Removal and installation the heater (VAZ-2108)

The heater is removed after removing the instrument panel (see section "Removing and installing the instrument panel"). Move lever 18 (see figure 171) heater control to the right until it stops (the heater tap is open) and drain the fluid from the engine cooling system. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the floor tunnel lining, then remove the air duct 6 (see figure 172) interior ventilation. Disconnect the electrical wires from resistor 19 (see figure 170) and the wire to the electric motor 4. From the engine compartment side, disconnect the supply and outlet hoses of the heater tap, unscrew the two nuts securing the tap to the front shield and remove the tap pipe seal.

Unscrew the four nuts securing the heater to the air intake box and remove the heater assembly with the control. When unscrewing the front left nut, remove the wire to the electric motor housing.

The heater is installed in the reverse order. After installation and connection of the hoses, the engine cooling system is filled with liquid and the tightness of the connections is checked.
