Removal and installation the windshield wiper (VAZ-2108)

Repair of the wiper mainly consists of straightening the deformed rods and levers or replacing them with new ones. It is recommended to replace a faulty gear motor with a new one. Of the repairs to the gear motor, only replacement of the gear reducer gear, cleaning of the collector and adjustment of the limit switch are allowed.

To remove the wiper, remove the brushes with levers, open the hood and disconnect the wires from the battery, wiper gear motor and heater fan. Remove the cover of the mounting block and take out the relay from it. Remove the heater fan. Unscrew the axle nuts (fittings) of the levers and remove the washers with equalizing gaskets. Unscrew the drive bracket mounting bolt and remove the wiper. If necessary, remove the gear motor from the bracket on a workbench and disconnect the rods.

Install the cleaner in reverse order.
