The washer consists of a tank with liquid, a pump with an electric motor, combined into one unit, electromagnetic valves and pipelines with jets. The line for supplying liquid for washing the windshield is blocked by electromagnetic valve 3 (see figure 150), supplying liquid to the headlights - valve 2 (see figure 151) and to the rear window - by valve 4. When the washer of any window is turned on, voltage is supplied to the corresponding valve and it opens the supply of liquid in the required direction.
The rear window washer circuit includes a time relay 6 (see figure 151) type 45.3747. It provides a delay of 5 seconds for turning off the rear window washer.
The electromagnetic valve should operate at a control voltage of no more than 8.5 V. If there are interruptions in the operation of the valve, check for jamming of the valve anchor, also check the resistance of the winding, which should be (95±6 Ohm at 25°C.
If it differs from the nominal value, replace the valve with a new one.
