Cleaner electric motor - with excitation from permanent magnets, three-brush, with two speeds of rotation. A low speed of rotation is ensured by applying voltage to the oppositely located brushes, and a high speed is provided by applying voltage to a brush displaced from the axis of symmetry of the electric motor. To protect the electric motor from overloads when the brushes freeze to the glass or there is a high resistance to their movement, a thermal bimetallic fuse is installed in the cleaner. For VNR-produced gearmotors, the fuse is installed under the gearbox cover on the limit switch panel, while for domestic gearmotors, the fuse is located on the cleaner drive bracket.
Intermittent operation of the cleaner is provided by an electronic relay type 52.3747 installed in the mounting block. This relay also includes a purifier (low speed) when you turn on the windshield washer. Brief technical characteristics of the cleaner:
The speed of the gearmotor shaft at a supply voltage of 14 V, a load torque of 0.15 kgf-m and an ambient temperature (25±10) °C, rpm:
- at low speed - 30-40
- at high speed - 55-70
Consumed current at a load moment of 0.15 kgf-m, A, not more than:
- at low speed - 3.5
- at high speed - 5
Note. Some gearboxes may have a high speed.
Possible malfunctions of the windshield wiper, their causes and remedies are given in tab. 25.
