Note: Repairing the water pump usually does not lead to the desired result, so it is recommended to replace the pump assembly.

1. The water pump needs to be replaced if:
- during operation, a coolant leak from the pump was noticed;
- there is noticeable axial play of the pump shaft (more than 0.13 mm);
- cracks, chips, and flaking were found on impeller 1, pulley 3, or pump housing 2.
The bearing with the roller is fixed in the pump body with a locking screw 4. For sealing, a gasket 5 is installed between the pump body and the cylinder block.

2. Install the water pump in the reverse order of removal, replacing the sealing gasket. Then adjust the camshaft drive belt tension and fill with coolant (see subsection 11.5.7.).
