Note: You don't have to disconnect the battery to do this job, because when the switch wire is shorted to ground, only the interior light bulb will light
Removal
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw that secures the switch to the door post.
2. Remove the switch from the hole in the door pillar and disconnect the wire tip from the switch terminal.
The limit switch often stops closing the circuit to ground due to corrosion that occurs between the switch mounting screw and the walls of the hole into which the screw is screwed.

Installation
We install the switch in the reverse order.
