Note: The location and purpose of the switches installed in the instrument panel and in the floor tunnel trim are shown in the section "Governing bodies".
Switches for the interior light lamp are installed in the doorways on the front and middle pillars. When the door is closed, the switch disconnects the interior light lamp from the ground and the light goes out.
Recommendation. Monitor the serviceability of the interior light lamp switches, as the car's security system is usually connected to them. If the switch fails, the security system will stop responding to the opening of the corresponding door.
The switch for the reverse lights is installed in the gearbox housing next to the starter. When the reverse gear is engaged, the switch contacts close, supplying voltage to the corresponding lamps in the rear lights.
The brake light switch is mounted under the instrument panel on the brake pedal bracket. When the switch rod is recessed (the brake pedal is released) its contacts are open, and when the rod is extended (the brake pedal is pressed) - closed.
