Removal
1. Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the two wires from the switch terminals.
3. With an open-end wrench by 19 mm loosen the plastic lock nut of the switch.
4. Using your hand, unscrew the switch from the brake pedal bracket.
Installation
We install the brake light switch in the reverse order.
After installing the switch, before connecting the wire connectors, adjust the position of the brake pedal (see "Brake pedal free play - adjustment").
Warning! After connecting the wires, make sure that the brake lights come on when the brake pedal is pressed lightly. Otherwise, check the wire connections to the switch terminals or repeat the adjustment
