Removal and installation the generator (VAZ-1111)

Apply the parking brake to the vehicle, remove the spare wheel and disconnect the wires from the negative terminal of the battery and from terminals 30 and 61 of the generator.

Unscrew the nut of the generator mounting stud 3 (see figure 42) to the mounting strip 2 and the nut of the generator mounting bolt to the bracket 4 of the front engine mount. Move the generator toward the cylinder block and remove the generator drive belt.

Remove the radiator lining by unscrewing the mounting screws. Remove the generator mounting bolt to the bracket and remove the generator.

Install the generator in the reverse order of removal. After installation, adjust the belt tension as indicated in the section "Engine Adjustments".
