Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
Remove the spare tire.
Remove the air filter.
1. Remove the rubber strap holding the coolant expansion tank from the hook.
2. Set the expansion tank aside.
3. Lift the wiper arm to access the wiper arm mounting nut.
4. Loosen the windshield wiper arm mounting nut.
5. Remove the spring washer and...
6....the lever from the windshield wiper roller.
7. Remove the middle part of the rubber seal from the body flange.
8. Remove the eight screws securing the protective cover. Note that there are spring washers under the screws.
9. Remove the protective cover.
10. Remove the water deflector shield.
11. Disconnect the connector from the windshield wiper motor wires.
12. Remove the protective cap.
13. Loosen the windshield wiper mounting nut.
14. Holding the windshield wiper from below, completely unscrew its mounting nut.
15. Remove the windshield wiper.
16. Remove the washer and...
17....a plastic sleeve.
18. Install the windshield wiper in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the lever, turn the windshield wiper on and off (with ignition on), so that the windshield wiper roller returns to its original position.
19. Position the wiper arm so that the blade is in the lower right corner of the windshield, but does not touch the seal. Check the operation of the wiper and adjust the arm if necessary.
