Before starting work: Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.

The windshield wiper motor is secured to the rear door with two bolts and a nut (under the wiper blade).
The windshield wiper and rear door wiper motors are similar in design and differ only in the design of the gearbox cover (the rear door wiper motor gear cover has a component for attaching it to the door). Gearmotor repair see subsection 8.8.2.

1. Move the wiper arm away from the glass...

2....unscrew the leash mounting nut and...

3....remove the wiper arm and brush assembly from the windshield wiper motor shaft.

4. Remove the rubber boot from the gear motor shaft.

5. Loosen the nut securing the gear motor to the rear door.

6. Mark the wires and where they are connected to the connector.

7. Disconnect the wires from the connector.

8. Disconnect the wire holder from the rear door.

9. Unscrew the two bolts securing the gear motor to the rear door and...

10....remove the gear motor from the vehicle. Install the gear motor in the reverse order of removal.
