Assembly and installation of the pendulum arm bracket (VAZ-21011)

1. Before assembly, lubricate the pendulum arm axle bushings and fill the space between them with LITOL-24 grease.

2. The order of assembly of the pendulum arm bracket is the reverse of disassembly.

3. If the axis 9 was replaced (see Fig. Section of the pendulum arm bracket), then tighten the self-locking nut 11 of the lever mount with a torque wrench.

4. Install washer 6 with the pressed-out parts facing upwards.

5. After tightening nut 4, the lever in the horizontal position should not rotate under its own weight.

6. It should rotate under the action of a force of 9.8–19.6 N (1–2 kgf) applied to its end.

7. If nut 4 is overtightened, unscrew it, lift washer 6 and tighten it again.

8. After securing the bracket to the side member with two bolts with self-locking nuts and flat washers, tighten the nuts with a torque wrench.

9. Connect the ball joints of the rods to the pendulum arm.
