Removing
1. Drain the radiator and cylinder block by removing the drain plugs in the lower radiator tank and on the cylinder block; at the same time, open the valve of the interior heater, and remove the radiator cap from the filler neck.
Attention! In order not to damage the radiator, when unscrewing the drain plug of the lower tank, use the second wrench to support the fitting of the plug soldered into the radiator. Unscrew the cork with a socket or spanner wrench so as not to damage the edges of the cork.
2. Disconnect hoses from radiator.
3. Turn away bolts and remove a casing of the fan.
4. Remove the radiator from the engine compartment by unscrewing the bolts securing it to the body.
Leak test
1. The tightness of the radiator is checked in a bath of water. Having muffled the radiator pipes, bring air to it at a pressure of 0.1 MPa (1 kgf/cm3) and soak in a bath of water for at least 30 seconds. In this case, air etching should not be observed.
2. Solder minor damage with soft solder, and in case of significant damage, replace the heatsink with a new one.
3. Jamming allowed (required on both sides) no more than 1.5% of the radiator cooling tubes.
