Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").
3. Remove the steering shaft protective covers (see "Steering shaft covers - removal and installation").
4. Remove the steering wheel from the shaft (see "Steering wheel - removal and installation").
5. With a socket wrench by 8 mm loosen the tightening of the clamp bolt.
6. Remove the instrument panel (see "Instrument cluster model 2105 (2107) - removal and replacement of lamps").
7. Disconnect the three connectors of the switch wiring harness from the connectors of the instrument panel wiring harness.
8. Remove the switch from the steering shaft bracket pipe, removing the wire harnesses from the dashboard from below.
Installation
Note: To check before installing a new switch, connect its wire pads to the pads of the instrument panel harness. After connecting the battery and turning on the ignition, check the serviceability of the switch by moving its levers to different positions (see "Steering column switches"). Turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
1. Install the switch on the steering shaft bracket pipe.
2. Before finally fixing the switch to the bracket pipe, determine its position using the protective covers as templates. In this case, the switch levers in different positions should not touch the covers. Holding the switch in this position, tighten the clamp bolt.
3. Cover the pressure contact of the horn with plastic grease.
4. Installation of the remaining removed parts is carried out in the reverse order.
