- move the lever to the extreme lower position;
- loosen lock nut 26 (see fig. 192) tensioner and, tightening the adjusting nut 27, tighten the cable so that the lever stroke along the sector is 4-5 teeth under a force of 40 kgf;
- after performing several braking operations, make sure that the lever stroke has not changed and that the car brakes during this stroke.
If the cables are replaced with new ones, then the brakes are applied 2- or 3-fold, applying a force of approximately 40 kgf to the parking brake drive lever to cause the cables to be pulled out.
