If the parking brake does not hold the vehicle on a slope of up to 30% or is engaged when the lever is moved more than 4-5 teeth of the ratchet device, adjust it in the following order.
1. Move the lever to the lowest position.
2. Loosen the lock nut 4 of the tensioner and, by tightening the adjusting nut 5, tighten the cable so that the lever travel along the sector is 4–5 teeth under a force of 392 N (40 kgf).
Attention! If the cables are replaced with new ones, then brake two or three times, applying a force of approximately 392 N (40 kgf) to the parking brake drive lever. This will stretch the cables.
