Removal and installation the parking brake (VAZ-2105)

Having set the parking brake drive lever to the extreme lower position, disconnect the ends of the cables from the brake shoe drive lever. Having loosened the lock nut 26 (see fig. 192) and adjusting nut 27, remove tension spring 11 (fig. 206), then completely unscrew the lock nut and adjusting nut. Disconnect the cable bracket 15 from the body floor and the rear ends from the brake shields, remove the brackets, the rear cable, the guide roller 8 with the bushing, then the protective cover 1 of the lever and the lever 3 in assembly, as well as the front cable 2. Having removed the cotter pin and removed the thrust washer, disconnect the front cable of the parking brake drive lever.

Install the parking brake in the reverse order and then adjust it. When installing, lubricate the rear cable guide, lever axle, roller bushing and cable tip with consistent lubricant Litol-24 or LSC-15.
