Measuring the protrusion of the vacuum booster rod (VAZ-2105)
If necessary, measure the rod (for example, when all wheels are not fully released) disconnect the brake master cylinder from the vacuum booster. Start the engine and bring the engine speed to 4000-5000 min⁻¹, then release the throttle pedal sharply. Repeat this operation 2-3 times to create a vacuum in the vacuum booster, then use a template to measure the rod protrusion. It should be 1.25-0,2 mm (see fig. 193). If necessary, adjust the rod protrusion by changing its length using the adjusting bolt.
