The 6ST-55P battery consists of six 2 V cells connected in series. Each cell is placed in a separate compartment and consists of positive and negative plates separated by separators. The battery case and cover are made of polypropylene. The cover is welded to the body and together with it forms a non-separable monoblock.
The nominal capacity of the battery with a 20-hour discharge mode with a current of 2.75 A and an electrolyte temperature of 25°C at the beginning of the discharge is 55 Ah. The discharge current strength in the starter mode and the electrolyte temperature of minus 18°C reaches 255 A.
