Cleaning
Before repairing the brakes, wash them thoroughly with warm water and detergent and dry immediately with compressed air.
Removing
1. Raise the front of the car, put on stands and remove the wheel. Unscrew the fitting, disconnect the flexible brake hose from the line; plug the hose and steel tube openings to prevent brake fluid leakage.
2. Pulling out cotter pins 14 (see fig. Front wheel brake), and then fingers 8 with springs, remove springs 15 and brake pads 16. Mark the pads so that they can be installed in their original places during assembly.
3. Having straightened the locking plates, unscrew the two bolts 9 that secure the caliper to the bracket, and remove the caliper.
Attention! It is possible to remove the brake mechanism (without brake disc) complete with brake pads. In this case, it is enough to disconnect the caliper hose and unscrew the bolts 9 (see fig. Front wheel brake) caliper mountings.
Installation
1. Installing the brake caliper is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. After installation, restore the fluid level in the reservoir and bleed the system to remove air.
