Before proceeding with the repair of brake mechanisms, they are thoroughly washed with warm water and detergent and dried with a jet of compressed air. The use of gasoline, diesel fuel, trichlorethylene and any other mineral solvents when cleaning the brakes is unacceptable, as the cylinder seals are damaged.
Raise the front of the car, put it on stands and remove the wheel. The fitting is unscrewed, the flexible hose is disconnected from the line, the openings of the hose and steel tube are plugged to prevent leakage of brake fluid. Pulling out cotter pins 14 (see fig. 143), and then fingers 8 with springs 10 (see fig. 144), remove the springs 15 (see fig. 143) and brake pads 16. The pads are marked in order to install them in their original place during assembly. Having unbent the locking plates, unscrew the two bolts 9, with which the caliper is attached to the bracket, and remove the caliper.
You can change the brake (without brake disc) assembled with brake pads, for which the hose is disconnected and the bolts 9 of the caliper fastening are unscrewed.
Installation is carried out in reverse order. After that, restoring the fluid level in the tank, pump the brake drive.
