The electrical circuit of the ignition system is shown on (see subsection 12.13).
Since 1987, a non-contact ignition system has been installed on some cars (see subsection 12.12). In this system, the power supply circuit of the primary winding of the ignition coil is interrupted by the electronic switch 5. The control pulses to the switch are supplied from a proximity sensor located in the ignition distributor sensor.
Since 1986, an additional ignition relay 7 has been installed (see subsection 12.13) type 113.3747-10.
On VAZ-21053 cars, an ignition distributor 30.3706 is installed (38.3706 in contactless ignition system) with extended shaft length.
