1. Place the gear shift lever in neutral and apply the parking brake.
2. Remove the cover from the ignition distributor and, by rotating the crankshaft, set the breaker cam to a position in which the breaker contacts will be maximally open.
3. Check the gap size with a feeler gauge.
4. If it goes beyond 0.35–0.45 mm, then loosen screws 33, insert the blade of a screwdriver into slot "b" and turn the breaker stand to the required value.
5. After adjustment, tighten screws 33 until they stop.
