1. Place the shift lever in neutral position and apply the parking brake to the vehicle.
2. Remove the cover from the ignition distributor and, by rotating the crankshaft, set the breaker cam to a position where the breaker contacts will be as open as possible.
3. Check the clearance with a feeler gauge.
4. If it goes beyond 0.35–0.45 mm, loosen screws 33 and insert a screwdriver blade into the groove "b" and turn the breaker post to the desired value.
5. After adjustment, tighten the screws 33 until they stop.
