The electric motor 1 of the engine cooling fan is switched on by the electronic control unit 4 of the injection system using relay P4 in the mounting block. Therefore, there is no sensor for turning on the fan motor in the radiator.
There are four fuses in the injection system wiring harness. All of them, together with the relay, are combined into one unit installed under the glove box. The larger fuse 24 is rated at 50 A. It protects the intake pipe heater circuit. The remaining three fuses are rated at 15 A.
The purpose of these fuses is indicated in the table (fuse numbers according to fig. Injection wiring diagram and fuse box colors).
Assignment of the injection system fuses
Fuse | Protected circuits |
20 (green) | Electronic control unit. ignition module. |
18 (black) | Oxygen concentration sensor. Speed sensor. adsorber valve. Relay (winding) turning on the intake pipe heater. |
19 (red) | Relay for switching on the electric fuel pump (contacts). Electric fuel pump. Nozzle. |
In addition to fuses, there is also "fusible link" at the end of the red wire connected to the battery. This "fusible link" made in the form of a piece of black wire with a cross section of 1 mm2, while the main red wire has a cross section of 6 mm2.
