Remove the cap of the expansion tank and open the heater valve of the body interior. Remove the engine mudguard by unscrewing the mounting bolts to the body. Place a container under the engine, unscrew the drain plugs of the radiator and cylinder block and drain the liquid. After draining, tighten the plugs.
Fill the system with clean water through the filler neck of the expansion tank to the normal level and tighten the tank cap. Start the engine and warm it up at an average speed of the crankshaft. In this case, the water will circulate in both circles, washing the engine radiator. Let the engine run for 3...4 minutes. Then stop the engine, drain the water, refill the system with clean water and repeat the flush.
Stop the engine, drain the water and fill the system with coolant. Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes to remove air pockets.
After the engine has cooled down, check the fluid level. If the level is below normal, and there are no leaks in the system, add fluid.
In northern regions, where antifreeze is kept cold for a long time, it ages more slowly. Therefore, after the end of the warranty period (60,000 km of car run) you can drain the coolant and check its quality. If there is no dirt and oil in the liquid and it has retained its blue color, you can measure the density, if necessary, bring it to normal and use it for another year. Repeat the test after a year of operation.
