The rear doors of VAZ-2109, 21093 cars differ from the front doors in the dimensions and design of the outer and inner panels, as well as the dimensions of the door window openings.

The window lifters have different dimensions and a slightly different design of the guide tubes, its brackets, the mounting plates of the lowering windows, and a shorter cable length. The window lifters are not interchangeable with the window lifters of the front doors.

The rear door locks are distinguished by the presence of another lever for blocking the inner door handle to ensure safety when transporting children in the back seat. The end of the lever extends into the end of the door. It can only be accessed when the rear door is open. To block the inner handle with this lever, you must lower the lever down and close the door before closing the door. In this case, the rear door can only be opened with the outer handle from the outside. With the lever raised, the door can also be opened from the passenger compartment with the inner handle. The rear door lock release button has an additional rod and a release drive lever and works similarly to the front door lock release button.
