To perform repair work on removing, installing, replacing a ball joint on a VAZ 2110 car, you will need a puller for pressing out the pins of the ball joints.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the front wheel of the car (see "Wheel - replacement").
3. Using a 19 mm socket wrench, unscrew the ball joint pin nut.
4. Using a 17 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the ball joint to the steering knuckle.
5. Install the puller on the end of the lever.
6. By tightening the puller bolt with a 17 mm open-end wrench, we press out the ball joint pin from the lever hole and remove the ball joint.
7. If the ball joint fails, it must be replaced.
Installation
1. Apply lubricant (SHRB-4, Litol-24 or similar) on the ball end of the pin.
2. Place grease into the inner cavity of the ball joint boot.

3. Install the ball joint and all removed parts on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
