Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the front wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
3. Remove the engine protection (see "Engine protection - removal and installation").
4. We turn off two bolts of fastening of a spherical support to a rotary fist (see point 4 "Rack ball joint - removal and installation").
Warning. When removing the bolt, be careful, the stabilizer is under tension.
5. We take out the bolt of the stabilizer strut to the transverse suspension arm (see points 3 and 4 "Anti-roll bar - removal, installation, replacement of pillows and racks").
6. Using two 19 mm wrenches, unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the transverse arm to the body bracket, remove the bolt and remove the end of the arm from the bracket.
7. In order to maintain the previous adjustment of the angle of the longitudinal inclination of the axis of rotation when installing the transverse arm, count and record the number of shims located at the rear end of the longitudinal brace.
8. Holding the longitudinal extension from turning with a 24 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the nut of the rear end of the extension with a socket wrench of the same size with a long knob.
9. Remove the thrust washer from the rear end of the longitudinal extension.
10. Remove the lower arm assembly with the ball joint from the longitudinal brace.
11. In order not to lose, remove the thrust and adjusting washers from the extension.
12. If necessary, clamp the lever in a vice and press out the ball joint pin from it (see "Rack ball joint - removal, installation, replacement").
Installation
We install the front suspension transverse arm and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal.
Warning. The holes in the shims are chamfered on one side. When installed, the washers should be chamfered to the bend of the brace.
Warning. The final tightening of the nuts for fastening the silent blocks of the transverse arm of the front suspension is carried out only after the vehicle is installed on the wheels.
